More powerful, faster on the race track: The  new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport

Three years after the launch of the first Cayman GT4 Clubsport, the Porsche produced the new model of the series. The new 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport represents a further development of the first successful model produced in Weissach. There are two versions of a mid-engined racing car for the first time: the yarış Trackday eves model for enthusiastic, amateur racers and the inin Competition bir version suitable for national and international races.

The new 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport was designed to improve driving control and reduce tour time, as well as sustainable raw materials. 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is the first series production race car with body parts made of natural fiber composite materials. The drive and co-pilot gates and the rear wing are produced from an organic fiber mixture obtained from products such as linen or hemp fibers, which have properties similar to carbon fiber for weight and rigidity.

The 718 GT4 Clubsport takes its power from its 3.8-liter, six-cylinder, six-cylinder engine that produces 425 HP. The new engine is stronger than 40 hp compared to the previous model. With the six-speed, mechanical rear axle differential lock, dual-clutch transmission of the Porsche, the power is transferred to the rear wheels. The light spring front suspension was taken from its older brother, the 911 GT3 Cup. The impressive racing brake system consists of 380 mm diameter steel brake discs. The welded safety cage, the racing seat and the six-track racing belt from the factory, the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is only 1,320 kilograms.

Base version for weekend use: Trackday

Fabrika çıkışı gelen diğer ekipmanlarsa, klima sistemi, tavandaki kurtarma kapağı, yangın tüpü ve 80 litrelik FT3 güvenlik yakıtı hücresi. Yol homologasyonu olmayan otomobil, bütün Porsche Merkezleri’nde servise girebiliyor.

The sahip Competition li model has many advanced features for the race. Shock absorbers can be adjusted in three stages. 115 liters capacity safe fuel tank, ideal for long-distance races. Thanks to the brake balance system, the brake balance adjustment between the front and rear axles can be adjusted infinitely. Thanks to the integrated air jack system, pit stops are very short. The quick-release racing wheel, adapted from the 911 GT3 R, provides adjustment possibilities for individual needs of drivers. The automatic fire extinguishing system offers an extra safety feature for the racetrack.

Both versions will be delivered to teams and drivers all over the world since February.
