The 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G engine in the model has been extensively revised, air entrances have been developed, new cylinder heads have been added, pistons and piston rods have been renewed. Mazda says that with these modifications, performance improves, while the weight of the car is reduced.



The updated power output of the engine has increased by 15%. In addition, the torque value for the entire cycle is also increased and the maximum torque limit is increased from 6800 rpm to 7500 rpm. Full power output and torque values ​​were not specified in the statement, but it was learned that another document engine had a power of 184 PS (135 kW / 181 hp) and a torque of 205 Nm.

The power output of the 2018 model is 157 PS and the torque rating is 200 Nm. The updated engine is more environmentally friendly and consumes more fuel.

The 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G engine also developed combustion technology. The engine now comes with 132 PS (97 kW / 130 hp) power output and 152 Nm of torque. There is also an improvement in fuel consumption and clean working.

The new telescopic steering wheel and the revised TFT display are among the notable features. Customers will also be able to order brown-tinted ceilings, leather seat linings and 16-inch aluminum wheels with black metallic accents.

In addition to small styling changes, the car will be offered with additional safety equipment in Japan. Among these are the Advanced Smart City Brake and the Lane Departure Warning System.
