The Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been the legendary Nürburgring, which has been the testing center of automobile manufacturers for many years and struggled to sign the fastest lap times.

Porsche pilot Kévin Estre completed the 22.8 km Nordschleife section of the track in under 7 minutes, with an approved version of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS for road use at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track. The French driver who took the lap time of 6: 56.4 with the GT3 RS in the 520hp powerhouse ran the previous GT3 RS with 24 seconds of record time.

Together with Porsche Development pilot Lars Kern, Estre had the title of the third series production sports car with a 9-spyder 911 Spyder and 911 GT2 RS models on the Porsche brand and a GT3 RS followed by a 7-minute tour on the tough track known as "Green Hell".

Frank Steffen Walliser, Vice President of the Motor Sports and GT Department of Porsche, says that no Porsche model can compete with the new GT3 RS in racing. "Many innovative ideas from high-end motor sport models like the 911 GT3 R racing car have been ported to this car. The philosophy we follow for GT Models is as follows: High technology must be both dizzying and accessible. At this point, Nordschleife is the toughest track we can test our ideas. "

Andreas Preuninger, Porsche's Director of GT Model Group, said: "With a difference of a tenth of a second, the total duration of the four rounds of both drivers was less than seven minutes, the GT3 RS is both capable of both enormous power and driving dynamics beyond limits. The perfect fit of the GT3 RS in the driving system gives the car a dynamism that pushes the borders of the car in spite of its modest engine power, so it is important that all parts of the car behave like a single body. it was a great pleasure to enjoy Lars and Kévin's car while driving. "

The 911 GT3 RS, powered by a motor sport-inspired chassis and a four-liter high-speed atmospheric engine at 383-kW (520 hp), launched the world's launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The maximum speed of this high-performance sports car, which reaches 3.2 km / h from zero to 100 km / h, is 312 km / h.
